Having served two governors, Annie Vogt has quickly become one of the more recognized and respected figures in Arizona PR and communications.
Annie joined Veridus in 2016 after having served as Press Secretary under Arizona Govs. Doug Ducey and Jan Brewer. She has expertise in strategic messaging and crisis communications, as well as strong writing skills and a proven reputation among media members and elected officials, alike.
Under Gov. Ducey, Annie was responsible for the messaging and drafting of all external communications from the Governor’s Office, including public statements, press releases, newspaper Op-Eds, speeches and social media content. She also was integral to the planning and drafting of all keynote policy speeches, including two State of the State addresses. Upon her departure, Gov. Ducey, praised Annie as “an exceptional communicator and professional, who has been critical since day one in helping us convey important policy issues to our constituents and the news media.”
Annie served more than three years under former Gov. Brewer – initially as a Communications Specialist and, later, as Deputy Press Secretary. Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, she assisted the GOP Majority Caucus in the Arizona State
Senate with communications.
A proud Wildcat, Annie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona (2010) with a bachelor’s in communication and minors in Spanish and sociology. She lives in Phoenix with her husband, Ted.
