Marilyn Rodriguez“Our bipartisan experts have a genuine passion for what they do.”

Marilyn Rodriguez joined Veridus in 2011. She is a key member of our bipartisan lobbying team, bringing her unique perspective and experience to represent the interests of our valued clients in front of local, legislative, statewide, and federal lawmakers.

Marilyn is a native Arizonan and grew up in the East Valley. The first in her family to go to college, she graduated cum laude from Arizona State University (2011) with a Bachelor’s in Political Science, a Minor in Urban Policy and Planning, and a Certificate in Public Administration.

Marilyn also is an adjunct professor at Arizona State University, and teaches a course on lobbying and political science within the School of Politics and Global Studies. The curriculum was developed by Marilyn and her co-instructor – a former director of the’96 Dole presidential campaign – and provides students with an “inside look” at the practice of lobbying and the intersection between public policy and special interests. In the community, Marilyn is: Chairperson of the One Community Millennial Multicultural Board; serves on the One Community Foundation Multicultural Business Advisory Board; is Outreach Chairperson on the Manifesto Project Board; and is Public Policy Chairperson of the Gabriel’s Angels Board. She is a producer and co-host of the Copper Talk political podcast, and serves as a regular guest speaker in metro Phoenix.

Marilyn also enjoys discovering local craft breweries, distance running, travel and music. Marilyn took up percussion in grade school, has performed at Carnegie Hall and, in 2005, received ASU’s School of Music Scholarship for Music Performance. She has a marimba at home that she enjoys playing on her days off.
