Shaun Rieve named Managing Partner at Veridus; Jeremy Gerlach joins ownership group as Partner



Phoenix, Ariz. – Veridus, LLC is pleased to announce that Shaun Rieve has been selected Managing Partner at Veridus, where he will lead Arizona’s largest bipartisan firm for government relations, strategic communications and public affairs.


“Shaun was chosen by his colleagues to be Managing Partner because of his professionalism, leadership and business acumen,” said Veridus co-founder and Partner Wendy Briggs. “We look forward to Shaun guiding Veridus to continued growth and expansion.”


Shaun joined Veridus in 2016, and has been a member of the firm’s ownership group since 2023. Earlier, he served as a member of the administrations of Governor Janice K. Brewer and Attorney General Mark Brnovich.


“It’s an honor to be entrusted by my business partners with this responsibility,” Shaun said. “Veridus prides itself on our exceptional client service, and I look forward to continuing that tradition as we grow this firm and its clientele.”

Shaun was raised in Lake Havasu City, and earned a bachelor’s in Political Science from Arizona State University (2009). He lives in Ahwatukee with his wife, Emily, and daughter.


Additionally, Veridus is pleased to announce that Jeremy Gerlach has joined the firm’s ownership group as Partner. Jeremy has been with the firm’s lobbying and government relations team since 2012, most recently in the role of Senior Director.


“Jeremy is a real asset to Veridus and our clients,” said Veridus co-founder and Partner Jeff Sandquist. “He will continue to play an integral role in the growth of our firm, and we are excited to welcome him as Partner.”


Jeremy has strong legislative relationships on both sides of the aisle, and is one of Arizona’s leading authorities in policy areas that include economic development, business development and technology and natural resources.


”It has been an honor over the past decade-plus to work with Veridus as it has grown into Arizona’s leading bipartisan firm at the State Capitol,” Jeremy said. “Now, I’m thrilled to join the ownership group as a Partner and assume a bigger role in serving our clients and helping chart Veridus’ future success.”


Jeremy is a California native who earned his bachelor’s in Public Administration at the University of Arizona (2006), as well as his law degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, in San Diego (2011). Jeremy lives in Phoenix with his fiancée, Katie.
