Phoenix, AZ – Veridus LLC proudly announces that Shaun Rieve has joined what is already the deepest, most experienced lobbying team in Arizona. Shaun most recently served as Director of Government and Legislative Affairs for the Arizona Commerce Authority, where he was tasked with overseeing the ACA’s day-to-day legislative agenda at the State Capitol and in Washington, D.C.
“Shaun’s breadth of experience in lobbying and State government is uncommon, and he is among the most well-liked, hardest-working young professionals in Arizona government relations today,” said Wendy Briggs, a Director at Veridus. “His energy, instincts and policy know-how will be a tremendous addition to Veridus and our clients. We’re excited to have him on-board.”
Shaun brings with him years of experience at the Arizona Capitol and in State government. Before joining the Commerce Authority, he was a senior member of the Office of Attorney General Mark Brnovich, and instrumental in helping the new administration advance its legislative efforts and forge positive relationships with state legislators.
Earlier, Shaun played a key role in developing and executing the policy agenda of then-Governor Jan Brewer as her Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs. Shaun also served in the Brewer administration as a legislative liaison for both the Arizona departments of Gaming and Housing.
“No one is better in the Arizona lobbying community than Veridus,” Shaun said. “I’m excited to join such a talented team and look forward to representing our clients and continuing to make a positive difference for public policy in Arizona.”
Shaun was raised in Lake Havasu City, which he (and possibly he alone) refers to as the “Caribbean of the Southwest.” He attended Arizona State University, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor’s in Political Science, a minor in Global Studies and certificates in Civic Education and International Relations. Shaun enjoys soccer and softball and cheers for the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, and ASU football. He lives in Ahwatukee with his wife, Emily, and a cat.
